I love the succulent plants I’ve seen folks putting in glass terrariums in one of the latest decor trends going around lately, but I’ve been too nervous to put any in my own home with my cat likely to knock them right over.
That’s why I love the amazing DIY hanging terrarium project that blogger Hayley Williams recently shared with Rachael Ray!
It reminds me of the macrame projects that were popular back in the ’70s, but a bit easier to pull off even if you’re not too skilled when it comes to crafting (like me).
In fact, it’s so simple that I’m honestly kicking myself for not having thought of it before now. I could have been enjoying so much lovely greenery this whole time and I didn’t even realize!
I’m glad I at least know now and totally can put a few of these in my living room — and at a cat-safe height to avoid her pesky paws from yanking them down when I’m not looking.
I love how you can also get more creative with different colored ropes or adding accents like beads or ribbon. After all, the best projects are always the ones that have endless possibilities!
Take a look at the video to see just how easy it is to add a DIY hanging terrarium to your home.
